Formerly served under different capacities in the geological cadres of Department of Mines & Geology, Karnataka and retired as Deputy Director from the service in 2013.Currently lives in Mangaluru, Karnataka, India.

Education: (1). MSc in Geology 1974 University of Mysore , Mysore. (2) Ph.D in Geology (1990) University of Mysore,Mysore.

Fellow of Geological society of India.

Contributed research papers in Geology, Geomorphology Ore Petrology and Ground water. Edited " Geo Karnataka: Mysore Geological Department Centenary Volume" for Karnataka Assistant Geologists Association,Bengaluru, 1994.
