Hello everyone,

I am writing in reference to Special:Permalink/363637#ತುಳುಟು ಅಂಕೆನ್ ಗಳಸುನ ಬಗೆಟ್ to support the proposal regarding the usage of Latin digits (0, 1, 2, 3...) alongside or in place of Kannada digits (೦, ೧, ೨, ೩...) on Tulu Wikipedia.

Standardizing Latin digits for specific technical areas provides several practical benefits:

• Mathematical Calculations: Simplifies formulas, equations, and technical data display.
• Dates & Times: Improves compatibility with automated templates, timestamps, and system functions.
• Readability & Search: Makes content easier to search and navigate for broader audiences across different platforms.

I strongly support implementing this change where necessary to improve Wikipedia's technical functionality while maintaining the linguistic integrity of Tulu content.

It is concerning that admin on Tulu Wikipedia are blocking and warning users without proper notice. Issuing warnings in English on Tulu Wikipedia is inappropriate and disrespectful to the local language community. If there is need for blocking admin themselves should have created a policy page locally and get approval creation of such policies from community before going extreme circurmstanses by blocking new users, Blocking users for using LLM when the errors in the text are too minimal to justify such action is unfair. where the admin themselves could have improved the content, this shows a clear lack of resolve to build wikipedia. In addition, this admin is himself importing templates from english to Tulu wikipedia without translating them into Tulu. While he takes harsh action against others for minor mistakes, his own practice of importing untranslated templates clearly demonstrates a double standard. This only reinforces the concern that the admin lacks the genuine commitment needed to build and nurture the Wikipedia community.

If admins keep blocking new editors for silly mistakes, then how can the community expect to attract new editors? This is absolutely discouraging for newcomers. It is also the admins' duty to train and guide new editors. Whenever students & newcomers make mistakes, admins should reach out to them, explain the mistakes, and guide them on how to correct them. Otherwise, no one will be willing to write articles in the future. Recently, I have never seen any admins writing good-quality articles themselves. So, admins, please come up with examples of good-quality articles during every edit-a-thon. This will help new editors understand how to write and improve articles.
